If you haven’t yet heard, PS. Café has added a new outlet at One Fullerton recently! PS. Café has been around since 1999 – really amazing how it’s still so popular and hip after being around for almost two decades. At this new outpost, the decor has been kept consistent with its signature anglo-Chinese monochrome look. Feels like a huge and lovely dining room, overlooking MBS, and I’m sure its views will be even more mesmerising at night.
In terms of menu, there is a larger selection of Asian dishes here, on top of the usual brunch menu items, including Vietnamese pho and Thai chicken and basil bowl. Not too sure if it’s due to location, but prices here seem a little more exorbitant, eg. smoked salmon eggs ben was $32. They’ve also introduced Oven Pizzas, available at One Fullerton only.
Here’s what we had:
PS. Crab & Prawn Laksa ($26) – If you’re looking for a hearty, traditional laksa, you’d be disappointed. There was no ‘lemak’ taste and I found the soup to be pretty diluted.
Pippies with Conchiglie ($27) – This is one pasta dish that you would not find at its Harding and Palais outposts. The clams were fresh and I really liked the shape and texture of the pasta, which is slightly more chewy and al dente.
Sticky Date Pudding ($15) – Still the best sticky date pudding I’ve had in SG!
I’m more drawn by the ambience here than the food really. That said, I definitely wouldn’t mind coming back for the safer signature options like Truffle Fries and Sticky Date Pudding, and even their pizzas!
