Forest is a Chinese restaurant helmed by the higly-acclaimed Chef Sam Leong, located within the new Equarius Hotel, part of Resorts World Sentosa. On Sundays, Forest serves Sunday Brunch Buffet at $58 per adult and $28 per child below the age of 12, inclusive of fruit juices.
Lobby of the Equarius Hotel.
Entrance to Forest.
Ceiling of the restaurant – wooden structures themed to the name of the restaurant!
Pastries and some small canapés.
Some canapés as seen from the previous photo. Looks-wise they are pretty, but not at all impressive in taste.
Dimsum along with Chinese dishes such as Steamed Cod Fish, Stir Fried Prawns and Noodles. Chinese cuisine is definitely the forte at Forest and the dishes were well-thought and very delicious, with quality ingredients used.
Porridge with condiments.
Cold seafood – (very thin) Crab legs, Prawns, Clams, Crayfish. Fresh and yummy!
Salads which I didn’t pay much attention to.
Sashimi and Sushi!
What impressed me most at Forest is that they provide table service where dishes not available at the buffet counter make appearance right at your table! This ensures fresh food and diners will look forward to whatever that is in store for them. The picture above shows a slab of Roast Beef that was carved upon order!
Miso Cod (served at table)!
Petit cone (served at table).
Chawanmushi (served at table) – Sadly, this was too dry.
Dessert spread!! Spot the live crepe station behind the display!
Chocolate Fondue and fruits that have been portioned out for convenience – very thoughtful of them!
Crepes with berries! Unfortunately, their desserts didn’t leave much of an impression on me, apart from being instagram-worthy.
Sunday brunch in 5-Star hotels are usually priced exorbitantly. At $58 for Sunday brunch at Forest, you’re definitely getting back every cent’s worth. Also, if you’re a fan of Chinese cuisine, this is the place to be at for some good and hearty stir-frys!
