If you wish to impress someone, this is definitely the place to go to! Boathouse Restaurant on the third floor serves Business Set Lunches at $38 on Weekdays (however, certain dishes require a supplement of $2-5). All the dishes served were impeccably plated and the food tasted as good as they looked.
The interior decor of the restaurant is reminiscent of travels and voyages in the 80’s with frames of old maps and photos. Very, very classy.
Appetiser- Cured Salmon, Pickled Cucumber, Dill, Creme Fraiche (Supplement $4): The presentation of this dish was really appealing. Unlike smoked salmon, this piece of salmon was not at all salty. I really appreciate the thick, tender cut of the salmon and it was a divine combination when accompanied by the crunch of the thinly-sliced pickled cucumbers. Also, I don’t know what magic had been done on the cream, but it was mind-blowing. One of the most memorable appetiser yet.
Appetiser – Traditional French Onion Soup with Gruyere Cheese Toast: The soup was rich yet refreshing. Personally, I found the toast too thick for my liking as it absorbed most of the soup too quickly.
Entree – Pacific Salmon with Roasted Garlic Mash, Saffron Sauce: I was in awe when this plate was served. I absolutely loved the colours of this dish; if all vegetables were this colouful, I bet we’ll have no trouble making children have them. The salmon was well-cooked, with a top layer of crispy skin. The mash was very creamy and smooth but I couldn’t taste any hint of garlic, for which I’m fine with. This is definitely the kind of dishes I’ll order again and again every time I’m back at the restaurant.
Entree – Duck Confit, Green Beans, Baby New Potatoes & Duck Jus: I had a bite of this and the skin was very crispy and fragrant! Love the crunchy green beans too!

Dessert – Calamansi Custard, Hazelnut Biscuit, Strawberry Consumme & Compote: This reminded me of Pana Cotta! The custard was more sweet than tart. Nonetheless, it was a light and icy dessert that will soothe your palette after all the exciting flavours from previous dishes.
Dessert – Chocolate Mountain, Blackcurrant Granite & Seasonal Berries (Supplement $2): I love deconstructed desserts; or just desserts that look deconstructed. This one here is no doubt a pleaser for chocolate lovers!
Service at the Boathouse was really good as the staff were very attentive and friendly. The whole ambience of the restaurant was fantastic too! Can’t wait to be back to try their ala-carte menu!
