Ku Dé Ta @ Marina Bay Sands

Ku Dé Ta serves one of the most perfect Sunday Brunch consisting of a buffet spread for starters and desserts, as well as ala-carte buffet for mains. On top of that, there is a wide selection of teas, smoothies, milkshakes, soft drinks and coffees to choose from! All of these from the top of Marina Bay Sands, at Level 57. 
Love how the natural lighting fills the entire restaurant.
Buffet spread: Seared Tuna, Smoked Salmon, Cold Cuts and cheese that were delicately prepared.
Buffet spread: Bread & pastries with a variety of jams and spread. Very enticing layout!

Buffet Spread: Super pretty DESSERTS! I like how they are presented in miniature portions and the homemade marshmallows in the jugs were amazing!
Raspberry, Watermelon and Mint Smoothie! Very refreshing – a good drink to whet your appetite at the start of the meal!

Freshly Shucked Oysters with Citrus Jelly – I don’t normally eat oysters but the jelly warded off any fishy taste present! Yum yum yum!  DSC06974
There are a number of ways you can have your eggs prepared and I chose the Classic Egg Benedict. The eggs were very nicely poached but I thought that the English muffin was too dense. The Wok-Charred Cherry Tomatoes were simply amaaazing. The juicy bite-sized tomatoes literally pops in your mouth and the Japanese seasoning was very tasty. The Angus Beef Hash with Poached Egg was alright – the beef was a little too tough for my liking. 
Inspired Waffle’ – I kind of regretted ordering this as sandwiched between the waffles was orange jam, which I hated. I think their Traditional Waffle would have been a better choice.
Pan-Seared Foie Gras with Curry Bread –
The best dish of the day! I applaud the creativity of this dish as the foie gras sits on top of a crispy bread that has been soaked with the flavours of curry. The generous piece of foie gras was lightly caramelized and seared to perfection. Despite its high cholesterol level, I had 2 huge pieces to myself!!
Grilled Red Snapper Fillet –
This was grilled over charcoal and again, it was cooked to perfection. The fish was still tender, with a crispy outer layer.
Panko Crusted Chicken Schnitzel –
This was like chicken tonkatsu with creamy mushroom sauce. However, you should not underestimate the power of the cream sauce as it was perfumed with truffle. Instantly, this dish has been taken up a few notches.
Braised Mushrooms –
I think it’s a feat when a simple dish like this is made memorable. There is nothing to criticise as the mushrooms were so fresh and soft and QQ, they were the best mushrooms I’ve ever had.
Assorted Vegetable Tempura –
I prefer the traditional way of preparing tempuras and I felt that the chilli sauce did not go well with the fried vegetables.
This meat was fabulously done and seasoned very well. The steak and the eggs were definitely a match made in heaven. Steak and Sunny-side-ups – DSC06994

Sunday brunch at Ku Dé Ta is priced at $88 per person. It’s a great place to celebrate birthdays as they provide complimentary a beautiful lava cake with homemade yuzu marshmallows! Personally, it is definitely well-worth your money considering the high standards of food and service, and that there is nowhere else you can get such a beautiful view in Singapore. 🙂
