Vintage Tea Party: House @ Dempsey

Available only on Thursdays and Fridays of the week, House@Dempsey presents you with a very quaint Vintage Tea Party. Against the backdrop of lush greeneries, and among the worn-out pillars of the barrack are intricately placed English teacups and beautiful freshly-cut flowers. Small bite-sized desserts and finger food are placed on oh-so-darling dishes. Essentially, the whole set-up is a feast to your eyes. Every angle is simply picture-perfect.

A wide selection of cookies, tarts, whole cakes, cupcakes and fruit cocktails are available in the dessert section.

A variety of bread is also offered, including the black squid-ink flavoured ones. There are condiments and cheese spread to go with table plain table crackers as well. The most memorable one was definitely the truffled mushroom.

Pictured are skinny-pizza samplers (eg. squid-ink base with squid ring and prawn; truffled mushrooms; cheese with jam; mozzarella cheese with pesto). They are so good that I love each and every single flavour offered.

The vietnamese spring roll was particularly impressive with generous stuffings of prawn, shredded chicken and vege with mango salsa.

Overall, the high tea was a fantastic experience! I would say that $22++/pax is very reasonable given the amount of details and effort put into recreating this vintage tea party and especially since the food is not shabby at all! 😀 This high tea is only available for a limited period, so pick up the phone and reserve a table to avoid disappointment!
